LADIES’ GOLF CLUB. OFFICERS FOR YEAR. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Featherston Ladies’ Golf Club was held on Monday-, • when the 'following officers were elected for the coming season: Captain, Mrs J. B. Davis; vice-captain, Mrs L. G. Benton; secretary, Mrs H. McCarty; committee, Mrs C. Carlyon, Mrs H. Lovegrove, and Mrs F. Staples. The ladies’ opening was fixed for April 26, when a “flag” competition will be held. ANZAC DAY. POST AND TELEGRAPH OFFICES. On Anzac Day the Post and Telegraph office x will be closed in all branches with the exception of the telephone exchange which will remain open continuously as usual. On the evening of April 24, a delivery of correspondence including registered, will be made over the counter between 7 and 8 o’clock. Rural deliveries will be suspended. The Featherston-Wharepapa service will be run on Monday, April 24, instead of Tuesday, April 25. * WOMEN’S NATIONAL RESERVE. MISS CARD RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT. At the annual meeting of the Women’s National Reserve those present were Miss H. Card (president), Mesdames Arch Clark, H. Lawson, Leslie, Lowell, Rea, J. G. McKenzie, Wakely, Yule, Bloxam and Miss Viles. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Barry, H. Cundy, Fellingham, Sharp, Tutbury, and Miss E. Card.

The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Miss H. Card (reelected) ; secretary, Mrs H. Bloxam (reelected); all other members to constitute a committee.

It was decided to hold Poppy Day on Friday, Mr Hayes (schoolmaster) to be asked to allow the High School girls to sell poppies as usual.

An appreciative letter was received from the Medical Superintendent of the Porirua Mental Asylum for thri Societ’s annual gift of honey. Two new concrete vases have been put on the cemetery memorial to replace the old ones destroyed by the wind.

A vote of thanks was proposed to all those who had made wreaths for Anzac Day, and a special one to Mrs Rea for always making a wreath for Armistice Day.

The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Miss Card for presiding and to Mrs Bloxam for the use of her room.
