The Hon Mr Justice O’Regan, who is at present in hospital, was reported at the weekend to be showing further improvement. Messrs J. Jenkins and O. Prout, Wellington, are on a holiday visit to Masterton as the guests of Mrs R. Jenkins, Bannister Street, mother of the former. Mr and Mrs J. C. Fisher have returned to Masterton, after a month’s sojourn in the South Island, most of their time being spent in Dunedin. They visited Lakes Wanaka and Wakatipu. Mr H. H. Little, postmaster, Ohakune, has been appointed postmaster in Woodville, in succession ot Mr J. P. Mahon, who was promoted to the Waipukurau Post Office. Mr Little is expected in Woodville in about a fortnight. The Rt Rev H. St Barbe Holland, Bishop of Wellington, who was to have left for the country last week to complete his convalescence, following on his recent operation, has been delayed at Bishopscourt, as the result of a chill. It was thought wise for him not to travel before the weekend, and he now expects to leave Wellington early this week. <
