ART UNION DRAWN. FIRST PRIZE TO AUCKLAND. By Telegraph—Press Association > WELLINGTON, This Day. First prize of £2OOO in the “Grand Sports” art union, drawn in the Masonic Hall. Wellington, last evening, goes to Auckland. The holder of the ticket that takes the second prize of £lOOO, Mr W. Dingwall, Gordon Avenue, Johnsonville, was in the audience while the drawing took place. A half-share of the prize belongs to Miss E. Bunce, Auckland, at present staying in Johnsonville. The third prize goes to Auckland, the fourth to Hokitika, the fifth to Christchurch, the sixth to Takaka. and the seventh to Wairoa. The prize-list is as follows: — First Prize—£2ooo. 163314, "Lucky One,” Mt. Albert, Auckland. Second Prize—£looo. 192903, “Fleabite,” W. Dingwall. Gordon Avenue, Johnsonville. Third Prize—£soo. 136795, “Try Again,” Grafton, Auckland. Fourth Prize—£4oo. 61510, “This Time,” care A, Howat, Weld Street, Hokitika. Fifth Prize—£3oo. 39394, “A Good Sport,” Christchurch. Sixth Prize—£2oo. 83076, “Hops,” Takaka. Seventh Prize—£loo. 225796, “Rulette Orwere,” E. D. Mahanga, Iwitea, Bag 66, Wairoa. Prizes of the value of £5 each were won by “Let’s Build a Nation” (Masterton), and “We Two” (Masterton).
