Messrs Corlet, McKay, Morris, Bowie, L. Loyd and True. It was decided to hold a “Back to Childhood” dance in the Pihautea Hall on April 19. Personal Items. Mrs E. Sim is visiting her daughter, Mrs W. Marshall, in Auckland. Mrs P. N. Harvey, Kahutara, is visiting Kimbolton. Mr and Mrs D. C. Collins sailed from Wellington for England yesterday. Mr and Mrs J. Cole and Mr H, Cole are spending a holiday in Rotorua. WOMEN’S INSTITUTE. MEETING OF KAHUTARA BRANCH The Kahutara branch of the Women’s Institute held its monthly meeting on Tuesday last. Mrs McKenna presided The attendance was not as large as usual owing to many members being ill with influenza. Arrangements were made for* the birthday party to be held on May 9. It was decided to hold a gathering in aid of the Green Queen, Miss Nancy Corlet. It was resolved that the Roll Call for May be: "My favourite song and singers.” Mrs Hillicar, of Wellington, entertained members with humorous stories which were much appreciated. Competitions resulted as follows: — Seniors: Hand-knitted socks, Mrs Welsh, 1; Mrs Corlet, 2; Mrs Rogers, 3. Best bloom, Mrs Bussy, 1; Mrs Hood, 2; Mrs Cade, 3. Juniors: Soft toy, Miss J. Hood, 1; Miss L. Hood, 2. Best bloom, Miss J. Hood, 1; Miss L. Hood, 2. The tea hostesses were Mesdames Duffy, Rogers, Hood and Siemonek.
