Carter (chairman), E. Graham. W. H. Day, H. J. Nightingale and the secretary (Mr B. Kiernan). Apologies for absence were received from Messrs F. Dennes and H. Walden. A grant of £5 was made towards the cost of a new fence at side of the Plunket rooms. The resignation of Mr E. Graham, owing to his leaving the district, was accepted with regret. The trustees expressed their appreciation of Mr Graham’s work on the Trust and wished him every success in his new sphere. It was decided to fill the vacancy when lhe next election takes place at the end of the month. The other retiring trustees are Messrs H. G. Carter and E Dennes. The planting of new trees and fencing in of the same is to be left in the hands of Mr F. J. Brooks. Sale of Trust Leases. The auction of the leases of the Greytown Trust Lands sections was held at the Maxton Mart yesterday afternoon. Mr J. Kerslake, of Masterton, was the auctioneer. The sections without buildings on were on lease for 7 years and in most cases were knocked down to the present occupiers. The two sections that have buildings on them were also secured by the present tenants for a term of 21 years. For several sections no bid was received. This was probably due to the uncertainty of the small fruit markets. These sections, however, will be let privately. Golf Club. On Saturday a Stableford competition will be held commencing at 1.30 p.m. sharp.
