PIG PRODUCTION

_ VALUABLE RESEARCH OVERSEAS. Recently a great amount/of research has been done both in England and foreign countries into pig management, diseases and production. It is practically impossible for even the most ardent student to keep abreast of all this valuable matter and consequently the British Bacon Development Board is doing a great service to pig producers in publishing a ’bulletin that summarises the more important articles concerning pig production, that have appeared during 1938 in "England and foreign farming and scientific journals. The bulletin, it is said, will be divided into sections, dealing with breeding. feeding, housing and management, carcase quality, litter testing, pig recording, pig production costs and profits and overseas developments. Into these is compressed in easily readable form, information on recent advances in practical and scientific knowledge about pigs.
