HAWKES BAY MEETING. WAIRARAPA COMPETITORS SUCCESSFUL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS, April 10. Riflemen from Wellington, Wairarapa, Wanganui and Hawke's Bay competed at the thirty-first annual prize meeting of the Hawke's Bay Rifle Association, held on the Roy’s Hill range ' during the weekend. A new record for the range was established by F. J. Jeune, Gisborne, who. in the first four matches of the championship, secured an aggregate of 197 of a possible 200. With a grand aggregate of 240 points Jeune won the championship belt and the Bone Cup awarded to the highest aggregate scores over the 300, 500 and 600 yards matches. The runner-up for the championship was D. J. Flynn, Greytown, who took the A. A. George Rose Bowl. Ten teams competed for the Collins Shield, which was won by Gisborne, with Masterton-Opaki and Okawa in the minor places. Because of lack of time the shield match was confined to 12 counting shots at 300 yards. Winners of the trophies are:— Champion Belt (Lane), highest aggregate matches. 2,3, 4, 5. and 6: F. J.
