TOURNEY GAMES AT HASTINGS. HAWKSWORTH IN FINAL OF MEN’S SINGLES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS, April 10. Excellent weather enabled good progress to be made today in all events in the Hawke’s Bay Easter tennis tournament, which is being conducted by the Hastings Lawn Tennis Club on the club’s courts in Whitehead Road. Most of the quarterfinals and in some cases the semi-finals have been played, and all events will be completed tomorrow. Miss M. Budd, lately of .Hawke’s Bay, but now of Wellington, scored a good win over Miss M. Macfariane (Auckland) chiefly by her superior steadiness and remarkable powers of retrieving.
