OBITUARY
MRS A. BEGBIE. The death occurred yesterday at Mauriceville of Mrs Susan Harriett Begbie, widow of the late Mr Alexander Begbie, at the age of 69 years. The late Mrs Begbie had been in indifferent'health for the past twelve months. Born at St. Hellier, Island of Jersey, she came to New Zealand as an infant. In her younger days she resided in various parts of the North Island, including Hunterville, New Plymouth and Taumarunui, and for the last 40 or 50 years she had lived in the Eketahuna district, where her husband was engaged in farming. Her husband predeceased her four years ago. She is survived by four daughters and three sons—Mesdames C. McDonald (Hamilton), E. M. Clayton (Petone), P. McKeown (Mauriceville), A. E. MacDonald (Mauriceville), and Messrs N. Begbie (Fairfield, Sydney), A. Begbie (Wellington), and I. Begbie (Mauriceville) .
The funeral will take place tomorrow (Sunday), leaving the chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service at 2 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
