WEDDING

MACKILLOP—GORDON. Knox Church, Masterton, decorated with hydrangeas and autumn foliage, was the scene yesterday afternoon of the marriage of Enid Grace, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs J. V. Gordon, Masterton, to Hector MacDonald, twin son of Mrs A. D. MacKillop and the late Major MacKillop, of Bedford, England. The Rev. John Davie officiated. Escorted by her father, the bride entered the church robed in ivory slipper satin made with a tight-fitting bodice on which was gathered a very full skirt falling to.a slight train. A plain tulle veil cascaded from a topnot of gardenias and white carnations. She carried a shower bouquet of white begonias, lilies, asters and gypsophila. The maids in attendance were Misses Helen Gordon, sister of the bride, and Mary Bright, cousin of the bride, dressed alike in smoky delphinium blue marquisette over blue taffeta, fashioned in Victorian style with full skirts gathered on to a yoke, as were also the bodices. Cyclamen, sashes fell to the hemline. The bridesmaids wore topnots of pink begonias, carnations, pompom dahlias and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by Messrs Keith Cameron as best man and Bruce Robertson, of Wellington, as groomsman. The ushers were Messrs Frank Fordham, of Wellington, and lan Gordon.

The reception was held at the residence of Dr. and Mrs Budd, Carterton. The guests were received by the bride’s mother, who wore a model frock of blue Parisienne georgette over taffeta and hat to tone. She carried a posy of autumn flowers. Mrs Budd, who assisted, wore navy blue embroidery anglaise over pink taffeta, a' blue toque and carried a posy in pink tonings. When the bride left she was wearing a navy tailored costume with a fingerlength coat, beige crepe-de-chene blouse, and navy peach blue hat with veil and accessories to tone.
