The March averages of cows tested by the Wairarapa Herd Testing Association are as follows: — Greytown No 1 group: Cows under test, 994; monthly group average, 4531 b milk, 22.091 b fat; highest herd average, 31 cows, 291 b fat; highest cow, 491 b fat. Grey town No 2 group: Cows under test, 1204; monthly group average, 4281 b milk, 19.51 b fat; highest herd average, 58 cows, 271 b fat; highest cow, 531 b fat. Gladstone group: Cows under test, 1358; monthly group average, 4181 b milk, 21.91 b fat; highest'herd average, 32 cows, 301 b fat; highest cow, 621 b fat. Featherston group: Cows under test, 2078; monthly group average, 4551 b milk; 21.71 b fat; highest herd average, 36 cows, 281 b fat; highest cow, 631 b fat. Martinborough group: Cows under test, 1422; monthly group average, 3871 b ' milk, 18.91 b fat; highest herd average, 43 cows, 261 b fat; highest cow, 481 b fat.
Pahautea group: Cows under test, 570 cows; monthly group average, 3841 b milk, 20.31 b fat; highest herd average, 41 cows, 321 b fat; highest cow, 461 b fat. Association summary (figures for March, 1938, in parentheses): Cows under test, 7626 (7885); monthly association average, 4261 b milk (5901 b milk), 20.81 b fat (27.91 b fat); highest herd average, 41 cows, 321 b fat (66 cows, 421 b fat); highest cow 631 b fat (851 b fat). .
