GATHERING AT MARTINBOROUGH.

NUMBER OF NEW COMPETITORS.

Perfect weather favoured the opening day of the Martinborough Collie Club’s dog trials yesterday. Good entries were received and there was a large number of spectators. A pleasing feature is the number of new competitors. The judge, Mr J. A. G-ibson, commented on the smooth running of the trials, which are under the direction of a capable committee, of which the president, Mr Ivan McLeod is the leader.
