MASTERTON CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING LAST NIGHJ.

The members of the Masterton Indoor Bowling Club held their annual meeting last night when there was a good attendance of members. Members commented very favourably on the financial position of the club. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr A. W. Chapman; president, Mr J. Fenton; vice-president,-. Mr L. Roff; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. A. Leigh; committee, Messrs Finlayson. Pickering, Joyce and Stains. It was decided to open the season on Wednesday, April 12 with a fourhead pairs knock-out competition, the usual refreshments being provided. Several new members were elected and the prospects for the season are very bright. The secretary was instructed to get in touch with other sports- bodies regarding the inter-change of visits. Mr Fenton suitably responded to the thanks expressed to the chairman.
