To ensure against any possibility of the foot anc’ mouth disease entering Canada th< Government maintain a rigid lookou abroad as well as at her borders. Any country suffering from the disease finds Canada’s doors resolutely locked against her animal products. Not even hides, wool, horns, hooves, bones, flesh or manure of animals from the infected countries are allowed to enter. Thus does Canada maintain the protection of its animal population from any danger of contamination and ensures good markets for its animal products.
