AUSTRALASIAN GOLD CUP. WON BY EASTERN DISTRICTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, March 25. Eastern Districts (Hawke’s Bay) won the Australasian Gold Cup in the final of the Savile Cup polo tourney this afternoon, after a thrilling game with Western Districts. The match was very exciting throughout. Eastern Districts won 5-4 after an extra chukka. In the first chukka Western scored a goal. There was no score in the second. In the third Eastern scored one, and drew level. In the fourth Eastern scored twice more, and led 3-1. The fifth chukka saw Western shoot two goals, and finished with the teams level, 3-all. There was no score in the sixth.

The seventh chukka opened with intense excitement, both teams riding magnificently. Western,shot a goal and led 4-3, with two minutes to go. Just as the bell sounded Eastern shot a goal, making the score 4-all. An extra chukka was played. Eastern shot another goal, thus winning the cup. i<h • Hawke's Bay' B won the handicap cup, leading Matangi in the final game.
