CONTRIBUTION BY BOROUGH COUNCIL.
SUM OF £BO TO BE PAID
“We decided to pay our allocation of £BO provided other local bodies fell into line,” stated the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, at last night’s meeting of the Borough Council when referring to the council’s contribution towards the upkeep of the National Art Gallery and Museum.
“A good many but not all of the local bodies have agreed to contribute,” added Mr Jordan.
It was decided to pay the £BO for 1938-39 without committing the council for future payments.
