FAREWELL PARTY

Mrs W. Matangi, who has left the district, was the guest of honour at a farewell party given by Mr and Mrs P. Wilkinson and daughters at. their home, 39 Fleet Street, Masterton. Friends from all parts of the Wairarapa come to wish Mrs Matangi the best of luck in their future home. A number of toasts were honoured and singing and dancing indulged in till the early hours of the morning. Mrs Matangi was the recipient of many gifts which showed the high esteem in which she was held. The gathering was brought to a close with the singing of “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow” and “Auld Lang Syne.” _____
