BUY IN MASTERTON
COMPETITION RESULTS. A large number of entries from a wide area of the Wairarapa were received in the first competition sponsored by the Masterton retailers, in connection with the present Ideal Homes season. Entries were judged by the editor of the "Times-Age” and prizewinners have been announced as follow: —
First prize (£1 1/-) to Mrs A. C. Denby, 25 Herbert Street, Masterton, whose winning entry was: — “I work in Masterton. All shops carry city range of goods to select from. Common sense answers, ‘Buy in Masterton!’ ”
Second prize (10/6) to Mr W. R. Walker, 13 Hope Street. Masterton, whose entry was: — “By supporting local industry I assist my fellow man and help to keep him in work. Help Masterton, help ourselves.” ‘ Double theatre tickets have been awarded to T. F. Collerton. P.O. Box 142, Masterton; I. Wickens, 102 Perry Street, Masterton; I. M. Hunt, 55 Lincoln Road, Masterton, Ivor J. Tweddell, c/o W.F.C.A., Masterton.
The prizes will be posted to these winners at the conclusion of the present campaign.
