AMATEUR ATHLETICS
MASTERTON CLUB’S MEETING. LAST NIGHT’S RESULTS. The Masterton Amateur Athletic Club held its usual meeting last night when there was a large attendance of the public to witness the various events, including the girls’ interhouse bicycle race and the running of the Butement Cup for the 100 yards and the 440 yards interhouse men’s relay. Mr L. B. Maunsell presented the trophies to the winners of the girls’ bicycle race and also the cup for the most points in the interhouse competition which was won by Stock and Station Agents team. Mr G. W. Sellar presented the Butement Cup, which was won by P. Ryan, and also the Sellar Cup for the interhouse men’s relay, which was won by Sellar & Sellar’s team. ’ The results were as follow: —

Half-mile Handicap.—B. Falloon 1, E. Meurk 2,’K. Wyeth 3.
Putting the Shot. —B. Faulknor 1, B. Thompson 2, J. Burns 3. Long Jump.—A. Curtis 1, B. Thompson 2, F. Missen 3.
Ladies’ 50 yards Handicap—L. O’Neil 1, C. Cairns 2, J. Grantham 3.
Ladies’ 75 yards Handicap—L. O’Neil 1. J. Grantham 2, C. Cairns 3. Ladies' interhouse Quarter-mile Cycle Race. —Stock and Station 1, W.F.C.A.. 2, Macduff’s 3.
Men’s Interhouse Relay Race for the Sellar Cup.—Sellar & Sellar’s team (M. Sellar, B. McPherson, R. Gully) 1; W.F.C.A. team (S. Pye, J. Wickens, C. Reid) 2; Wright, Stephenson & Co.’s team (E. Martin, J. Burns, McWhinnie) 3.

The following are the events for next week. —Flat events: 120 yards, 440 yards, 1 mile. Field events: High jump, throwing the discus. Ladies’ events: 75 yards and 120 yards.
