GAS WAR DANGERS
HELMETS FOR BRITISH BABIES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 13. After prolonged research the Government has approved of a respirator, known as a baby helmet, for the protection of infants in the event of a gas attack. Public demonstrations of the new device were made today in the presence of parents of infants under two years of age who were fitted with the helmets.
Helmets numbering 1,400,000 have been ordered and will be distributed within a few months. In addition 1,300,000 special respirators for children under the age of four are in production.
