CENTRAL SCHOOL
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION. OBJECTIVE FOR THIS YEAR. A meeting -of the Central School Parents’ Association committee was held in the Central School last evening. Mr G. Beecroft presided. The treasurer (Mr E. C. Coddington) reported a bank balance of £ll 7s 7d. During the past year the committee had spent a considerable sum in purchasing band instruments, wireless outfit. multiple lawn mower, games, material. etc., and in view of this it was considered that the financial statement was most satisfactory. The committee decided to have as their objective for the coming year a visual education talking machine and to hold in reserve sufficient funds to allow for the purchase of the same when available. It was decided that the series ot old time dances which had proved so successful in the past should iecommence on April 22, and arrangements are be made to engage a suitable orchestra. It was decided that the headmaster circularise parents with the view of receiving their support at these functions and so help the committee to realise their objective. It was also decided to hold a children's fancy dress party on May 4 and committees for the same were appointed.
