LICENSING COMMITTEES

FIRST ELECTIONS SINCE 1930. NO POLL IN WAIRARAPA. Licensing committees throughout New Zealand will be elected today, at lhe first poll taken since 1936. All persons on the Parliamentary electoral, roll are eligible to vote. Elections will only be necessary in those districts where more than the requisite number of five persons have been nominated for committees. As only the required number of nominations were received, the following were elected to the Wairarapa Licensing Committee: Messrs John Purvis. Henry T. homos Rees, John Saunders. Francis William Smith, William Christian Mnrenus Sorenson.
