MOTOR CYCLE CONTROL
ATTITUDE OF LOCAL BODIES. Sir,—l would like, through your columns to sincerely thank the Masterton County Council and the Featherston County Council for reaching such a common sense decision regarding the restrictions on motor-cycles. Local bodies throughout New Zealand are apt to be very much like a flock .of sheep when they receive their letters from the Commissioner of Transport asking for their opinions. The public and the police of the Wairarapa are—or have been in the past—very considerate of the poor motor cyclist, who is always to blame, no matter what the circumstances may be, and the Masterton Motor-Cycle Sports Club has appreciated this, and as a result we have ‘a fine body of “Gentlemen of the Road.” who are only too willing to do their bit to help reduce the toll of the motor in New Zealand. Now then, Mr lordan, and your councillors, let us hear of you giving the above-mention-ed matter your most careful attention when it comes to your turn to assist or condemn us. —I am, etc.. k. mcmullen. Hon. Sec., M.M.C.C. Masterton, March 13. ) —“
