BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
MRS L. LARSEN ENTERTAINED. Last Saturday evening about 50 relatives and friends of Mrs L. Larsen (late of Mauriceville) gathered at the residence of Mr and Mrs C. M. Larsen, 47 South Road. Masterton, to celebrate her 75th birthday. Mrs Larsen brought up a family of 11 children and all were present excent one daughter who lives at Matiere. The large number of presents in evidence indicated what a good mother and friend she is. Mrs Larsen enjovs fdirly' ’good health and delights in knitting. After supper had been served and the birthday cake with 75 candles on it had been cut, Mr Gyde referred to Mrs Larsen’s many sterling qualities arid wished her a long life arid happiriess. Mr Adolph Larsen replied on behalf of his mother. The evening will long be remembered by all present, who wished Mrs Larsen many happy returris of the day arid expressed the hope that she would live to celebrate many more happy birthdays.
