MIKI MIKI SCHOOL

FUN AT THE ANNUAL PICNIC.

(“Times-Age” Special.) On March 2 the residents of the Miki Miki district gathered at Mr McLeod’s Bush for the annual picnic of the Miki Miki School. Visitors were present from Opaki, Kaituna and Longbush. During the afternoon the children and most of the adults enjoyed an hour in the river. Egg and spoon races, sack races, thread-the-needle races, lollie scrambles, and nail-driving were enjoyed by both grown-ups and children. After tea, prizes were presented to the pupils by the chairman of the school committee, Mr C. J. Campbell. All who so willingly helped to make this picnic a success are heartily thanked by the committee.
