MAN DROWNED
FOLLOWING CAPSIZE OF DINGHY.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 3.
A fishing expedition off Northcote shore had a tragic ending this afternoon. when a dinghy capsized with three occupants, one of whom was drowned while attempting to reach the shore. The victim was: Walter Henry Gee, aged about 65, married, Northcote.
The accident occurred while Mr Gee was pulling in the anchor. Mr Gee struck out for the -shore, but collapsed in the water after half the distance had been covered.
