CANTERBURY PRODUCE

* NO CHANGES OF IMPORTANCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association ) CHRISTCHURCH, March 3. There have been no changes of importance in the Canterbury grain and produce markets this week. Potatoes continue to be very quiet, merchants and growers alike preferring to await | a definite statement about the Australian embargo. The quality of the ryegrass offering shows no improvement. The demand continues for seed of good germination, but very few suitable lines have come forward. Cocksfoot from the peninsula was still being quoted in the city today at 6d to 6|d a lb. A premium on these rates has been paid for some super lines, but the general quotation for average seed was not above 6£d. There has been no improvement in the demand for seed from the North Island.
