JAPANESE PROTEST
TREATMENT OF NATIONALS IN SINGAPORE. "ILLEGAL OPPRESSION” ALLEGED. (Independent Cable service.) (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) TOKIO, March 1. The Vice-Foreign Minister, Mr Sawada has protested strongly to the British Ambassador to Tokio, Sir Robert Craigie, against "illegal oppression” of Japanese subjects in Singapore.
