GREYTOWN
GOLF CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING. PAST YEAR’S ACTIVITIES. 1 (“Times-Age" Special.) ' There was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Greytown Golf Club which was held on Monday evening. Mr J. Kiernan, president, occupied the chair. A vote of sympathy was passed to the family of the late Mr W. J. Feast, a : life member of the club. Members stood in silence. The annual report stated that the club finances had improved. The season started with a debit balance of ' £l2, and finished with a credit of £4 ; 9s lid. The standard of golf during the season had been high. The membership , had decreased last year owing to several members leaving the district.’ The committee regrets that since the ' season closed the patron, Mr W. J. Feast, has passed away. Kiernan was instructed to interview Mr Bunny regarding the lease and conditions for the use of his property. The committee was authorised by a resolution to go into the question of a new layout of the course. Personals. Mr and Mrs I. Tregrutha and family have returned from their holidays. ' Mrs R. P. Anker has returned from a visit to Christchurch. Siren Tried Out. ' Most people residing in 1 the main street rushed to their gates on Monday evening.
