The final Sheffield Shield cricket match between South Australia and Victoria was again washed out because of rain today,* resulting in a draw. Thus the shield trophy goes to South Australia, who were one point ahead of Victoria when the match began. Victoria were unfortunate, as they had a first innings lead and victory was within their grasp when rain came.
