FALL FROM A BICYCLE. ("Times-Age” Special.) Peter Brabender, son of Mr P. Brabender, of West Street, received a nasty wound on the head on Saturday afternoon. In company with some other boys he was riding a cycle near the 'Matarawa Bridge, when he struck a stone and was thrown heavily to the road. He was taken to Dr Oakey, who inserted six stitches in the gash. A Good Burn. On Saturday afternoon a big patch of broom and gorse behind the hospital was burnt out under the supervision of the Fire Brigade. All precautions were taken to prevent the fire from spreading to the surrounding paddocks, and this formerly dangerous growth has now been removed. Donation Acknowledged! The secretary of the Fire Brigade acknowledges with thanks the receipt of a donation of £3 3s from Mr H. L. Gray. New Golf Links. At tonight’s meeting of the Greytown Golf Club the question of new links will be discussed.
