The eighth annual sports meeting of the Martinborough Amateur Athletic and Horse Sports Club will be held on the old racecourse grounds, Martinbcrough, on Saturday, March 25. commencing at 10 a.m. This popular district gathering attracts patrons from far and near. Included on the programme are horse and pony events. Highland dancing, piping, athletic events for primary and secondary children. tug-of-war, races for the tiny tots, driving the golf ball, weight guessing. stepping the chain .etc. The Wairarapa College Pipe Band has been engaged for the occasion. Side shows will provide further attractions for the public and hot water, tea, light luncheon. soft drinks, etc, will be available on the ground.
