national fitness week. DISPLAY AND CONCERT. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Eketahuna Hall was well filled on Tuesday night with an interested audience for the Eketahuna Concert Orchestra’s Fitness Week performance. The first half of the programme was occupied with a demonstration of the work of the junior section of the Boy Scouts, under the direction of Cubmaster Smith. Cubmaster Smith, asked for the co-operation of parents in seeing that their boys attended practice regularly and for those whose ages ranged about 8 years to join up. After an interval the Orchestra entertained with many of its favourite selections. The orchestra is to continue with regular practices and will be heard to greater advantage in their next appearance. Personal. Mr G. Brash is acting as relieving teacher at the Rongokokako school. The death took place in Wellington last Wednesday at the age of 63 years of Mr Frank Berry, a brother of the late Mr A. M. Berry and well-known and highly respected in the- Nireaha district. His wife, who predeceased him, was a sister of Nurse Berry, of Eketahuna. A son, Mr R. M. Berry, of Wellington, is left.
