MEETING OF HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION. (“Times-Age” Special.) At a meeting of the Home and School Association, the following sub-commit-tee was appointed to conduct euchre tournaments: Mesdames Harkness, McKenzie, Rea, Hayes, with power to add. It was decided to approach the School Committee in connection with arrangements for supplying hot drinks to children who took their lunch to school in the winter months. Euchre Party. The first of a series of Euchre parties held by the Association took place in the Anzac Hall on Tuesday night, there being a good muster of players, who were present from Kaiwaiwai, South Featherston school committees, and from the Home and School Association. The winners:—Ladies, Mrs W. Fuge, 1, Mrs Barker 2, Mrs Rewai, consolation; Men, Mr A. Jury, 1; Mr Lowell 2, Mr Barker, consolation. The consolation prizes entitled the hdlder to a free pass to next week’s tournament. 1 Personal. Mr and Mrs R. N. Barton will leave during the weekend for the Polo tournament to take place in Hawke’s Bay. Mr Ken Shon, who is taking part in the Band Contest at Christchurch, was runner-up in Side Drum Contest. This is the third time h 4 has filled this position. uroquet. Mrs Hankers beat Mrs Donald in the second life for the B grade championship of the Haunui Croquet Club.
