DAY OF PRAYER

WORLD-WIDE OBSERVANCE. The women's world-wide Day of Prayer is both interdenominational and inter-racial. The women of New Zealand commence the day and are succeeded by the Women of Australia, the Philippines, Japan. China and so on round the world. Local meetings will be held on Friday next, commencing at 2 p.m. in the Parish Hall. These will be presided over by representatives of the various churches. A cordial invitation is extended to all women to attend one, or all, of the half-hourly sessions. A plate will be left at the door to receive thanks-offerings. These gifts will be forwarded to needy women and children in China.
