LADIES’ REST HOME
GATHERING AT AWAPUNI. The new rest home which has been established at what was formerly the Girls' Flock House at Awapuni, Palmerston North, was officially opened last Saturday afternoon. The home will be conducted by the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union and will provide a means by which farmers’ wives may rest and recuperate after illness. Among Wairarapa visitors present at the opening were Mesdames E. Dagg. C. C. Jackson, T. R. Barren K. Groves, A. Ross. A. Donald, E. J. Wright. R. W. Beu. Graham, Allen, Maitland, Cheetham and the Misses Heckler (2), Barrer and Chompton.
