PERSONAL ITEMS. ("Times-Age” Special.) Miss E. Howatt is visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs J. Howatt. Mrs Woodward, who has been the guest of Mrs Prussing. has returned to Wellington. Farewell Gathering. Between forty and fifty friends foregathered at the Odd Fellows’ Hall late yesterday afternoon to tender a farewell to Mr Frank. Mr Griffiths, who was chairman, spoke highly of the popularity of the guest. Mr and Mrs Frank had both been staunch members of the Tennis and Golf clubs and had also made many friends during their stay in Martinborough. All would be sorry to sec them go but wished them every success in their new sphere. Hi then’asked Mr Frank to accept the presentation of a cheque, to which Mr Frank suitably replied. Other representatives of the district who spoke, included Messrs Sad. manager of the Union Bank; W. B. Martin. H. Harding, County Clerk: P. Ward, on behalf of the Tennis Club; A. Brimble, of the School Committee; McGillicuddy, on behalf of farming industry: and McConnell. on behalf of the Golt Club A very enjoyable and pleasant gathering was brought to a close with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne,''
