FEATHERSTON
BOWLING CLUB GREEN. ("Times-Age” Special.) At the Bowling Club meeting held on Monday night it was decided to offer the use of the Featherston green to the Wairarapa Centre for the annual game with, Wellington Centre. The committee is endeavouring to arrange for the improvement of the local green by removing about an inch or more from the surface. It is hoped to arrange working bees to carry out the work. F. W. Smith’s rink defeated H. Rolls’s rink by 26 to 14 in the club championship. L. James and H. Rolls defeated W. Karaitana and W. Higginson in the club pairs championship. Personal. Miss Joan Scott is a Hawera visitor to Featherston.
