Now that all the various championship games are completed members are at liberty to engage in the more social contests, and some very enjoyable and close matches were played on the Park green on Saturday afternoon. • Crafts Medals. —The holders, Dagg, Jenkins, Spackman, Thompson (s) representing the wood-working industry, withstood a challenge from representatives of the Post and Telegraph Service, Finlayson, Ferguson, Burke, Kilgour (s). The game was closely contested throughout, the scores being even on several occasions. Although the holders retained the medals by 19/15, a very slight assistance from the “fifth man” may have reversed the situation. Keetly Medals. —The many spectators were thrilled by a masterly exposition of bowling in the Keetly Medals game between Leigh and Southey (s), holders. and Taylor and Roff (s), challengers. The competitors were evenly matched in drawing, but in running shots Southey had a day out, and his accuracy in this connection secured him the victory by 25/18. Spackman Cup.—The Spackman Cup (colts’ singles) competition is well forward and is at an interesting stage. The colts are well matched and the score sheet shows very little difference in the totals. The games playdd on Saturday were: Ferguson beat Nancarrow 19/16; Smith beat Nancarrow 19/12.
