INTERHOUSE DAY

AN APPEAL FOR SUPPORT. (To the Editor). Sir—The Wairarapa Interhouse Association's Day, which is scheduled for Marcli 11, promises Io be one of the finest displays ever witnessed in tin's district. The committee have been making arrangements of the final details for this occasion, and now the time has come to consider the question of trophies for the various sections. Through the generosity of the A. and P. Association a challenge cup for the aggregate number.of points for marching, physical drill and games is assured, and also Mr Frank Taylor, has donated a challenge cup for the business girls’ cycle race. The committee feels, however, that it would bo a very wise move if cups could be given for the. separate sections, marching, drill, etc. This would be a distinct encouragement for all teams competing. No doubt you are aware that there will be elevon teams on parade, and as present arrangements stand, only one prize can be allotted. This wo feel is hardly encouraging enough considering the enormous amount of enthusiasm that those young ladies are putting into their training. At the same time we think it is not quite fair to approach the houses who arc supporting their own teams with regard to the "uniforms, etc., which we may mention is a considerable item. We arc, therefore, making an appeal to those firms or individuals who can show their practical support by donating cups and trophies for these various sections, and surely there is no better time than during this Physical Fitness Campaign. If cups are forthcoming it is our intention mat. these shall bo ol a challenge nature 1o bo held by the winning team for one year only. The matter is urgent, as wo are about Io have our preerammo printed—l arn, etc.,

CEO. DAUBNEY, (C/o. W.F.C.A., Ltd). Chairman, Intern awte Assn., Committee
