TRAINING OF TROOPS

INTERESTING FILMS SCREENED IN MUNICIPAL HALL. A film depicting the training of troops by demonstration, shown in the Social Hall, Municipal Building, last night under- the auspices of the Masterton branch of the New Zealand Defence League, was followed with keen interest by those present. The several films screened included such subjects as cavalry in attack, Vickers Gun section drill and the mechanism of the Vickers, and the Lewis guns. Sergeant-Major C. E. Rogers explained various points in the films, which were most instructive and interesting. All the troops shown in the films have numbers, so that the men who had their particular task to do could follow their movements with the greatest ease.
