DISABLED SOLDIERS

STATEMENT REGARDING APPEAL. The following statement has been received by Mr A. E. Prentice, secretary of the Wairarapa Returned Soldiers’ Association, from the Dominion headquarters of the association: —“At a recent meeting of the Dominion executive committee of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers Association, it was reported that the New Zealand Disabled Soldiers’ Welfare Association had written to prominent citizens throughout New Zealand soliciting financial assistance in the preparation of a petition to the Government. The New Zealand' Disabled Soldiers’ Association is ■ not affiliated to, and has no connection with, the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association, which has nothing to do with this appeal for funds."
