MACDUFF’S STAFF DANCE
GATHERING IN MUNICIPAL HALL. ATTENDANCE OF ABOUT 500. There was an attendance of about 500 dancers at the Masterton Municipal Hall last evening on the occasion of the second annual staff dance of Messrs Macduff’s Ltd. Visitors were present from many parts of the Wairarapa and from several other branches of the firm. Under the able direction of Mr L. Siegel, Masterton manager, who acted as M.C., the proceedings went with a swing, excellent dance music being supplied by the Blue River Band. A feature of the evening was the smart appearance of the girls in charge of the refreshment booth. They were attired in last year’s house costumes, which were designed on military lines. The committee responsible for the supper and other arrangements was: Misses Williams, Bennington, Percy, and Thornton and Mr J. Woolf (secretary). The dance was a most enjoyable one in every way and reflected great credit on all concerned.
