The Misses Vallance leave Masterton today on a trip to Auckland.
Mr and Mrs Phil Bennett are at present visiting Dr. and Mrs Archer Hosking, Masterton.
Mrs A. K. Young, of Heretaunga, and Mrs Isobel Young were the guests of Mrs Archer Hosking for the Show. Mrs P. R. Cook, Masterton, is visiting her daughter, Mrs Leslie Nisbet, Karori, Wellington. The Rev W. E. and Mrs Moore have left for the South Island where Mr Moore will attend the annual Methodist Conference in Christchurch.
Mrs L. G. Davidson, of Dargaville, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs Hunter, of Masterton, has returned home.
Mrs J. H. Bremner and Mrs J. A. Gibson, of Ballance, are spending a month’s holiday in Rotorua and Bay of Plenty districts.
Fulfilling her wish to return to New Zealand, formed when manageress of the English women’s touring cricket team, three years ago, Miss Betty Green arrived at Wellington by the Wanganella yesterday to take up a teaching appointment at a Lower Hutt private school. She is undecided yet whether she will play cricket in New Zealand, but is prepared to assist the sport in every way possible.
