FEATHERSTON
INCREASE IN SCHOOL ROLL. (“Times-Age” Special.) Owing to the increased number of pupils attending the District High School, it has been found necessary to appoint another teacher, Mr Mills, from Masterton, having been transferred to Featherston. Personal. Mr J. Wilson,'Solicitor, of Westport, has taken up his residence in Featherston, and will carry on the business of Mr H. H. Ward during the ■latter’s absence in England. Rabbit Poisbning. Farmers who have rabbits on their properties have been notified by the Department to carry out poisoning operations. This is being done by some farmers, who are obtaining excellent results. The poison used is chiefly prepared pollard, which rabbits appear to relish.
