PRESIDENT’S PROGRAMME APPROVED ESTABLISHMENT “WOEFULLY INADEQUATE.” POSSIBILITY OF EUROPEAN WAR. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. WASHINGTON, February 9. The House Military Affairs Committee today unanimously approved President Roosevelt’s rearmament programme, with 10 minority members calling it "reasonably sound." The committee’s report, declaring that war may come to Europe at an early date, stressed that "our present military establishment is woefully inadequate."
