MEETING OF ASSOCIATION.
NEW PROGRAMME OF MATCHES.
Al last night’s meeting of the Management Committee of the Wairarapa Baseball Association arrangements were made for a new programme of matches until the end of the season. Tonight at 0 o’clock Fagan Motors will play Reliance Tyres, a match postponed from last Saturday and the game between Borthwick's Bears-and Territorials due for next Saturday will not be played until after the Territorial camp. Saturday’s matches will be: Reliance Tyres v. Harccmbe Motors, at 1.30 p.m. (umpires, Messrs E. Empson and C. Curtin); Pirates v. Fagan Motors, at 2 p.m. (umpires, Messrs W. Harding and G. Mpcfarlane). On Saturday, March 18, two matches will be played between Possible and Probable teams selected for preliminary training for representative fixtures. On Thursday, February 23, as part of the ’’Keep Fit" week demonstrations a Possible v. Probable match will be played on the Park Oval, at G p.m. and it is hoped that during a later weekend these teams will receive special training from a Wellington team to visit Masterton.
A representative fixture with either a Wellington League or with Wanganui was planned for March 11 and on March 25 a Wairarapa team will play in the Nev/ Zealand championships at Wellington. The season will officially close on April 1.
