STRUCK BY BUMPER
COUNTY CLERK INJURED. Mr J. C. D. Mackley, Clerk of the Masterton County Council had the misfortune to be struck this morning while on his way to his office by a half-ton truck which was backing into the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co's, yard in Chapel Street. Mr Mackley suffered a bad gash on one .leg.
It appears that Mr Mackley was standing alongside the drive into the yard waiting for the lorry to back in, but unfortunately the lorry swung round very sharply and the bumper caught his legs.
