DANNEVIRKE SHOW
EXCELLENT DISPLAY OF STOCK.
WAIRARAPA SUCCESSES.
' (By Telegraph—Press association.) DANNEVIRKE, February 7. One of the best organised and most representative of the autumn shows in the lower half of the North Island, the Dannevirke Agricultural and Pastoral Association began its thirtieth annual two-day festival on its commodious and well-appointed grounds in Dannevirke today, weather conditions, which were ideal, providing a happy augury for another successful function.
The stock classes were well supported by both local and visiting breeders, and made an excellent display. With the entries strong both in quality and number competition was keener even than usual, and several judges were unable to conclude their duties till late in the afternoon. Jercipvc PripcinnQ millHncr RhnrthnrnQ nnd
seys, Friesians, milking bnortnorns and Ayrshires were the best represented of the dairy breeds, though greater support could have been given to the beef divisions.
