EKETAHUNA
TAR-SEALING OPERATIONS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Tar sealing operations are in. progress on the Eketahuna to Nireaha highway and from Monday next that stretch of road between Parkville and Priest’s Road junction will be closed for some days while the work is being carried out. Service of Remembrance. A service of remembrance to the late Mrs A. Lawrence will be held in the Hukanui Hall tomorrow morning, when the preacher’ will be the Rev R. P. Keall, of Eketahuna. Hot Weather. Eketahuna experienced very hot weather yesterday. Pastures are very dry and the conditions are resulting in a decrease in the supply of milk to the various factories. In some localities the shortage of feed is causing anxiety.
